JT O’Neal has an MFA in screenwriting from UCLA, where he won the prestigious UCLA Screenwriting showcase (considered their top award), the Alfred P. Sloan award (for best use of science in a screenplay) and the Carl David award (for best LGBT script).  He also has a MD from the University of Kansas and an MPH from Harvard.  He is also an award-winning indie film director and producer.
